What Is Required for Crash Detection to Work?
OtoZen is designed to help detect serious vehicle crashes using your phone’s sensors and location data. For crash detection to work properly, a few setup and driving conditions need to be met.
Phone powered and connected
Your phone needs to be powered on, have a cellular connection, and location permission should be set to Always.
OtoZen crash detection enabled
The OtoZen app needs to be installed, set up correctly, and enabled to detect serious crashes.
Minimum driving speed
The vehicle should be moving at a minimum speed of 25 mph for at least 30 seconds before the crash.
Complete stop after collision
The vehicle needs to come to a complete stop right after the collision for the crash detection flow to be triggered.
